Recycled
It's been about 10 months since I made a blog entry, sorry about that. But at 59 I've been doing some serious doctoring, which has kept me away & out of my cave. Anyway I got to thinking about something that might be known, or could have slipped between the cracks (or the rails & ties).
The Great Northern Railway (GN) seems to have had a penchant for recycling or tinkering around with
their steam locomotives. Or was it a case of looking for the right balance, between weight & power.
Great Northern Railway's odd-ball steam locomotive The M Class 2-6-8-0.
This blog entry has taken me the better part of four months to compile & compose, as there isn't very much information on this locomotive class available on the internet. I've only encountered bits & pieces, and a few scraps of information here & there.

Great Northern Divisions part 2 (Corrections)
As I mentioned last week I found flaws in my blog post of the 6-9th divisions. Those were more modern divisions. What follows are the 1950 Divisions of the Great Northern Railway.

Great Northern Divisions (corrections)
I apologize for my absence in posting my blog entries. Shortly after my last posting in regards to the divisions (namely the 6, 7, 8 & 9th divisions) I discovered that they were flawed, What I presumed to be the proper divisions for the Great Northern Railway was indeed the recent divisions of the BNSF. This prompted me to seek the correct information. I had hoped to find a map highlighted or shaded for the different divisions.
