Bench work recommendations??
Hey guys,
I've been looking for someone who makes bench work and will ship it off to the customer. I've tried several times to contact an advertiser in MRH magazine and they've yet to respond. I'm assuming my needs are to small for their business and they've decided to ignore my request.
Cricut Explore Cutter - DIY Pilot Precise V5 Pen Holder
I have been experimenting with using a Pilot Precise V5 Pen in my Cricut Explore One to make nail holes. If you use a very small circle of .001" radius, the machine just effectively make the pen jab a hole.
However, I was noticing that my nail holes where not where I put them. They are all shifted off to the right in the picture above. I am using the Kid Sharp Productions pen holders pictured here:
Final Product
Well, I have tweaked, changed, modified, moved, updated the 9' x 11' layout to where I am pretty satisfied with the results. I know there will be more additional comments and suggestions, and while I do absolutely appreciate all of them, guys, and ladies, I have to stop somewhere. And this is where I am stopping. This will work. It will be very satisfying and will give me years of model railroading.

2017 National Train Show - Day 3
Okay, I'm not done with Day 2 yet, but I want to get a head start on Day 3.
To the person who asked about Athearn using the SD60E body as a basis for standard cab locomotives (sorry, I couldn't find your post), the Athearn rep reports that that is the intention, but they have to check out a few things first.
It's Sunday at the National Train Show.... anecdotally, dealers are reporting they had a pretty good day yesterday.

Another locomotive has been added to the RDG fleet this week. An Athearn - Genesis RDG GP39-2 #3416.
2017 National Train Show - Day 2
Day 2 of the National Train show... wouldn't you know it, after sleeping in hard throughout the convention, the one morning I can sleep in (the show didn't open until 10)... my body decides I'm going to be awake at 6am Florida time. Sigh.
Today my goals were to go around and photograph all of the manufacturer stands and the layouts, making sure I got photos of all the Module Contest winners (I took a photo of the sheet used for the announcement - I wasn't going to miss anyone this year!)

Mascoutin Valley Railroad - Wax my legs?
Hey everbody!
Last time I left you we made 12 feet of benchwork for my free mo yard but the Modutrak legs I decided to use didn't work too great. Loads of people came to my aid and offered a bunch of great suggestions! Thank you! So I made a video demonstrating what methods I tried and what ones worked best.
Take a look at this video talking about my legs...uh my Modutrak Legs.
