LED lighting for a wet Oregon day
I just read Joe’s article about Shadowboxing valance type things. Great article if you all haven’t read it do your self a favor and subscribe to MRH Extra. So Joe said he’s using 3000k lighting to go for that bright summer morning look. I want to model a dreary wet miserable day in Oregon when the sky’s are dark and you don’t wanna go outside. Been in Texas the past 5 years, coming from PDX and the seasons are night and day and I never thought I’d say that I miss the rain but I do now.
Judge my layout... please
Here’s an overall pic sorry bout the format I’m doing this from an iPhone
Bench work recommendations??
Hey guys,
I've been looking for someone who makes bench work and will ship it off to the customer. I've tried several times to contact an advertiser in MRH magazine and they've yet to respond. I'm assuming my needs are to small for their business and they've decided to ignore my request.
Show off your workbench!!
I know there are some awesome workbenches out there that you guys have. I'm currently looking to get some ideas for mine. As of now it's basically a desk with stuff scattered. I'd like to get some cabinets or whatever is out there so I can get it nice and organized. Apartment living right now kind of limits me but still I search for greatness. Hopefully some of you guys will start posting photos of your work areas.
I wasn't sure what section on the forum to post this so threw it up here (sorry).
Play-Doh??
maybe everybody already knows this and I'm really late to the party. But for the people who showed up late here's a great tool to help hold things in place when building stuff.
BLMA concrete crossing paint
I'm painting some BLMA concrete grade crossings and not having much luck finding a color I'm happy with. Does anyone having any suggestions for a concrete paint color?

Paint colors for utility poles?
I'm going to start modeling some utility poles, I picked up some 3/16 wooden dowels that now need paint. I was looking for some advice/suggestions on what color of paint I should use also what type? Oil, acrylic, etc.... The look The type I want to model are the dark brown looking poles that usually look like they've been soaked in creosote? At least I think they're soaked in creosote. With that being said, I figured oil paints would probably be the way to go but not sure. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you

Road width?
I have a sheet of .060 styrene and want to start practicing making roads. Eventually I want to be able to make them for an industrial switching layout. Can anyway help me out and tell me how wide each lane should be? I'm talking about single lane roads, one lane in each direction. I have one of those green HO scale track templates with the ruler on the side going up to 5 FT in HO. Thanks in advance for the help✌️
