Detailed guide how to model gravel roads (Dirt roads) easy.
Perfect for the countryside scenery on your model railroad, miniature terrain or diorama. The method presented in the video allows both for really rough dirt roads going through the forest with deep muddy track and lots of grass, as well as a well maintained dry road crossing over a farm field.

A premiere Opsig.org operator (In my mind anyway) and former NMRA regional/division Director is visiting the layout today.
I was asked if I would be able to show him the layout. I know my layout is nothing at all like the high quality layouts he operates on all over the united states. I just hope he understand that my layout is not a lookie lou and take picture type layout and is an operators layout. Him being an operator that travels the US I think he will get that.

Westhaven Industrial Rwy. : Trackplan Revision
I'm thinking too much and not doing enough. I decided I was unhappy with the trackplan as I didn't feel it allowed enough switching. So I revised it. I gained 3 switching locations. I lost any space for a structure. I re-revised and came up with something but I'm not sure I'm satisfied. I'll post the original and then the revision as it stands now. Looking for opinions. Both ideas are track packed and that's what I want. Downtown urban switching. However I do need room for some structures.
