Part 1 - This new building project adds the passenger platform cover/roof over the station tracks.  The structure being built is similar to the actual building (picture of actual building is shown in the video) but has been modified to fit my layout.  The first two parts of this series concentrate on the west side of the Union Station area. Additional work needs to be done to interface the structure to the passenger waiting room (or head house) since the stairways going down to the trackside platforms are different than the prototype. The interface is shown in Part 2.

Part 2  - This video shows the completed base structure on the west side of the station.  The key part of the structure build was designing the interface/integration with the existing passenger stairways and to the passenger waiting room. That work took about 3 days of measuring, printing & gluing.  I am now working on the east side structure as well as the roof sections. The roof sections will only cover the passenger platforms (about 50mm wide) and leave the center of the structure open over the tracks. The west side of the structure measures 9.5 " wide by 22" long.  The east side will be the same width and 13" long up to the bridge. There is room to add another 8'' on the other side of the bridge but I am undecided about adding the extra section.
