BC Rail Dawson Creek Sub - Update 4

Hello All,

When I set the goal for myself to have the first module of the Dawson Creek sub done by the end of the year a couple blog entries ago, I never actually expected to come anywhere close to it, but here it is December 24 and I've made a lot of progress. I was off work due to bad weather Thursday and Friday (perk of being a construction materials field tech, I guess), and combined with the weekend and a couple days off for Christmas, and I've had a few days of prime modeling time.

Railserve Beverage Bottling Facility, Update #6

Another short 2 weeks home before the holidays went by too fast. I took some time re-letter, safety stripe and weather some corn syrup cars. With all of the supplies out I continued onto some structures.

A landscaping tutorial I made some years ago

From tomorrow December 25. until December 31st. I will upload a video each day from a landscaping tutorial I made some years ago. Enjoy the videos.

Berlin 1929: Turnout Control.

I had been thinking about how to control the turnouts on my layout, given that I wanted a system that not only followed the operational practice of having cards for the wagons, but also the manual element of setting the path for the train before it is allowed to move.

A great day at the club layout- record breaking train!

Our modular club layout, the Adirondack & Lake Champlain, is on display at the local mall during christmas every year. Today, we made a record breaking train- 105 cars!

Carquinez MRR Cab Ride Eastbound CP Main Davis to Sparks

This Winter Open House video is a Cab Ride video from Helix to Helix on mountain level. This is the second level of the layout and runs from Davis to Sparks then around the south Helix on the reverse loop.

The "Weathering" Pothole

My wife has frequently observed that my road to model railroading accomplishments is indeed a long and winding one. It seems my attention is easily captured by the latest "squirrel" moment, sometimes triggered by a post on this or another message board or facebook group, other times something I see along the tracks. Over the last few months I have fallen into a weathering pothole on the road to completion (a goal far, far in the future!)
