Light Accesory Decoder?

What are some good accessory decoders for lighting? I am looking a good one that could power some light effects for our club layout. We have some street lamps, signs and another type of searchlight type item. It is around 10 total items but I would like them to be powered seprately.

My newest video camera for model railroading- Polaroid Cube

It was time to upgrade my micro video camera as my MUVI could not do HD.  I wanted something small enough to ride around on my layout and also be able to be able to set it down in tight spaces for still shots.  I purchased the Polaroid Cube for $99. after looking at a number of reviews and so far I have been very happy with it.  They also offer 1440p with WiFi and image stabilization for $149.

Here's some of the specs from Amazon.com:

2015 Update

For folks who may be interested, I thought I'd put up a quick update about the Barre Branch.

We moved from the Middle East to California last year, and after renting, found and closed on a house. That's the good news, the bad news, is like most Southern California homes, it's too small for the layout.

And so, it goes.

Building A Piece Of History Now: Thurmond West Virginia-Backdrops 10/29

I am working on a design for a small scene for demonstrating scenery and track work for out model railroad. It will be small (roughly 1ft. x 1ft. with the front curving) I am looking for design ideas and what an interesting scene would be. Any ideas from those on here?

Thanks for all of your suggestions everyone. Thurmand seemed like a good location and the below area is what we will model. It will include a cantilever signal seen on the right and the three buildings as low relief background structures.

Simple Switch Machines for the BNML

I created a simple switch machine for controlling my Peco Turnouts from the fascia on my layout this week. The criteria I had in mind for these were as follows:
