How do I glue wood to brass?

That's something I've never had occasion to do.

PC Board ties - where to buy

I've tried a couple of local hobby shops, searched this forum a little, and searched a little on-line for a source of PC Board ties for switches. Seems Fast Track is out of stock on this item and they have announced a new concept of PC Board ties coming next February, but they only show the 9' long version for track. Makes me think they will be discontinuing their current offerings in place of the new design.

Anyone know who else sells PC board ties in 17' length? I prefer to stay away from slicing my own from PC Board.

New Canadian era in Railroading

Many aren't aware how self sufficient the States are soon to become with their own oil, but it is happening and its happening soon.  Canada is aware of this and will need to sell more of its oil overseas, Canada is the United States largest importer of oil, even great than the middle east.

So here is a video (with a boring, I'm sorry to say ad that lasts 30 seconds so do something else while it plays out) of the new shift in oil transportation that could be happening in Canada shortly.

BUDD Passanger Car

Has anyone published a technique for modeling in metal?  I want to scratchbuild a Budd streamline coach.  For instance, can  sheet stainless be bent to form sides and roof as one piece?  How were the prototypes put

together at the Budd plant?  Hoping for enlightenment

Magnetic couplers - time to go?

Kadee has my undying respect and gratitude for inventing and marketing its highly successful HO coupler with the wire "brake hose" that allows remote uncoupling over a magnet. The "delayed" position is a further innovation that allows uncoupling where a magnet is not present. Kadee advanced the state of the art, and other manufacturers followed suit with similar couplers. Bravo!

Having troubles getting paint thru air brush !!!

This must be something silly stupid that I am overlooking.

Have a Badger Model 350 Bottom Feed Single Action External Mix Air Brush, and Badger Model 180-12 compressor.

Been using it sporadically over the past year.  No matter the paint (Tru Color , PollyScale, Model Master, Floquil - -  latex or lacquer), I have a hell of a time getting the paint to come thru the end of the nozzle and out for painting.  I start out with perfectly clean fluid cap, fluid needle, air tip,  and tube into the paint itself.

Black & White vintage pictures

This is my passion: model trains and b&w photography.
All images are taken from my latest layouts ("freelanced" Hillbrook Yard and "from prototype" Redstone Branch) and various dioramas, all based on Pennsylvania Railroad.
