Your opinion please - bridge over waterfall

I'm planning on installing this N scale bridge over the waterfall and wanted to get your opinion on the placement.  The bridge hasn't been painted or weathered yet.  Most of both ends of the bridge will be obscured by landscape with possibly the support pier being visible on the right.  I'll put a N scale vehicle on the bridge nearest the front.  Thanks in advance for your input!

Check out this Rotary Beacon Light Circuit

I just got this in the mail yesterday from Aaron Heines Electronics. Put it  on a 9 volt battery to test it. They are Only Available for DCC Systems at the moment.

Where oh where are they?

I hate it when I cannot find something. I have a clear tote full of rock molds. Theoretically under the layout. I can't find them. They should not be hard to find no matter where I put them. They are in a clear tote so you can see the rock molds in the tote. How can something so easy to see hide so well?

Decal help needed

I would like to replicate the text on the bridge. While Microscale has a number of "NUMBERS AND LETTERS" decal sets, I can't find a company that offers anything in italics. Can anyone offer any suggestions?

Monon RS2 engine

Does anyone know if any manufacturer has produced a HO scale, diesel locomotive in the Monon road name? I would like to locate one if such exist.

Richlawn Railroad Misti Falls fly over

The falls aren't finished; however, I wanted to do a short video (26 seconds) of a "fly over" of the falls to give you an idea of how it looks as static pictures only show a small portion.  It was shot with my iPhone(tm) 6 and the focus isn't the greatest.

Cover that up! / Layering scenery

This is old news for many of you, but it's such an important part of realistic scenery that I wanted to restate it:  Cover your scenery (layer) with additional scenery layers.  I once saw a layout where the modeler had done some great rock work and was reluctant to cover his beautiful rocks with other scenery.  The result was artificial in that the rocks look like they were stuck on top as an afterthought.  Of course such rock outcroppings do exist in real life and that's fine if that's what your are modeling

Virgils' Antiques, layout spotted

Virgils' Antiques, in Townsville, is shutting down due to the proprietors' retirement. They will only be open Saturdays for the moment. They don't have much model railway stuff, but there is an old layout, roughly the size of a family-size dinner table, hanging about. It is unscenicked and requires trackwork maintenance, and I couldn't really speculate on how well-kept the benchwork is. It was wall-mounted with forward stabilising legs. Appears to be HO or OO gauge. They want $80 for it.

Any guesses to what these Wood chip hoppers are?

Here are some hoppers carrying wood chips in 1984 of an Alco S1 in Quincy Railroad livery. I cannot make out what kind of car is being used to haul the wood chips from the lumber mill to the main line to be picked up by the WP.  Have looked on Google with no answers, they are UP & maybe Great Northern cars, dump cars. Could they be grain cars with their roofs removed?

Thanks RJ
