Contacting Comstock Car Shops

I have tried to contact the Comstock Car Shops by e-mail several times. Every time I got an automatic notification: "The e-mail message could not be delivered because the user's mailfolder is full."

Does somebody know a way to contact them beside their only e-mail address given on their website? I didn't find any address or phone number on their website www.comstockcarshops.com.

IOWA CENTRAL - a O scale 2 rail shortline project

Hello all!

I'm french and I model trains from... a long time ago now.

After to have built several different kinds of layouts in various scales, I would like to make a try in US O scale.

Weekly Photo Fun - September 11th to September 17th, 2015

Great work everyone last week!  Time to start of this week's photo thread!

As always, we get as much out of your in-process photos as we do the highly polished "all done" shots!

Dullcote and decals

I'm working on this experiment:

http://model-railroad-hobbyist.com/node/23510?page=3

Today I weathered the surface with a little chalk dust then sealed it with dullcote, but look what happened to the "CN", but not to the numbers. I've used this technique on Microscale decals for years on my models, but never encountered this wrinkling.

Source for Micro Magnets

I'm looking for a source for very small magnets, much like those found on the ends of these air hoses from PWRS.

https://www.pwrs.ca/announcements/view.php?ID=7440

I'm having trouble in my search terms. Apparently "small", "mini" and "micro" can mean as big as a dime and I'm looking for much smaller.

Thanks.

Charles

Pet peeves or completely surprised with new models (let's hear yours)

This is more for the rivet counters I guess as Almost all mid to high end MFG today go great lengths to reproduce a model that has correct details. is there anything that seams to be a trend with new models that you like or dont like?

Im loving that new steam engines seam to be coming out with an option for traction tires. Nothing like pulling a 30 car train with a medium locomotive.I love that I dont need a powered tender or box car anymore.

Modeler's Tip - Using plastic squeeze bottles to apply ground foam

Many times I want to apply a very small amount of ground foam in a small area.  I've found that using plastic squeeze bottles works well and the bottles don't cost much money.  I get mine at Hobby Lobby and they are $1.99 for a two pack.

Here I'm using the small bottle to add a little turf on the rocks on my waterfall.

WJ-1 Arrives at Bradford - Part 1

Transforming cheap rolling stock

Stopped in to my local hobby shop saturday to pick up a few things and noticed they had a whole shelf full of Model Power freight cars marked down to just 5 bucks each. Now normally I would stay away from Model Power but at 5 bucks I figured why not. They already had knuckle couplers. All I needed to do was add metal wheels and do some serious weathering. Here are the results.
