Let's see some drone views of your layout
I've always tended toward scale eye level photos of my scenes on the layout but how about we hold that camera, iPhone, iPad etc up high and show some drone views. Seems like drones are everywhere and often used in prototype rail fanning now let's see what they show in our scale world.

Airbrushing with Vallejo paints
I just airbrushed for the first time in over 10 years. I used my old Paasche H and Vallejo paints. I am very thankful that the Vallejo paint is idiot proof. My spray pattern wasn't the best. There seemed to be spurts of paint coming out rather than a smooth mist. Luckily the paint leveled and dried smooth and perfect. All seemed fine when spraying water and alcohol. I am suspect of two things. One is the tip and needle. They are old and the airbrush wasn't sitting in the best of conditions (an unheated garage) for several years and I see what I think is some corrosion.
Useful prototype roundhouse on a peninsula
This pic http://railpictures.net/photo/569443 looks like a classic roundhouse on a peninsula that's so common on model railroad layouts--a track curving around the back of the old roundhouse. Thought some might find it useful!

Places to sell
I am looking for places to sell online, other than eBay. Anyone have any good places? Been down the Facebook road. Specifically, any places that specialize in craftsman kits.

G Scale Bachmann K 36
Greetings everyone,
I have a friend that called me a few minutes ago wanting to know what I knew about G Scale battery powered remote control. He thinks his Bachmann K 36 is able to be converted to RC with minor work, but is not sure. Has anyone done this? Or set up any G Scale battery powered remote control?
Thanks in advance,
Tim Latham

4 ft LED replacements
Found 4ft LED florescent T8 replacement bulbs at Lowes for $10 each. They had the $22 variety also and the specs seemed to be the same. They were both rated at 2000 lumens, 18 watts, 50,000 hrs of life.
Requires electronic ballast starters so some of us may have to replace the fixtures or is it possible to replace the ballast?

Where are all the Nickel Plate fans?
I know the stuff made for NKP flies off the shelves. I'm just wondering where all the NKP modelers are on these forums and facebook. I realize the NKP merged into the Norfolk & Western in 1964, but it just seems there are not very many NKP fans online. I sure would like to share my love for the Nickel Plate with fellow modelers, but it seems they are few and far between. I turned 13 years old 2 days after the merger, but it was the line I grew up with. My dad was a NKP fan, and my grandfather was a NKP Cop.

And we gear up again for Merit Badge Academy
And May 7 fast approaches. Yesterday, the
the Council announcement was posted and so far
I am the only counselor listed for any of the merit badges.
This time I did things a little different. I concentrated on getting tools for the next class.
1 parent contributed 10 hobby knives last time, plus a couple of eyeglass screwdrivers and tweezers
Xuron company contributed 15 sprue cutters!
Kadee kicked in some high quality tweezers this time, along with some other assorted tools and more coupler
Weekly Photo Fun - March 11th to March 17th, 2016
Great work everyone last week! Time to start of this week's photo thread!
As always, we get as much out of your in-process photos as we do the highly polished "all done" shots!
