Cheap foam core
Hey all, I was in Michael's today to pick up some illustration board per Lances blog and they have foam core on sale for 99 cents. 20 by 30 by 3/16. Normally 2.99. I figured I can always use it. Just thought I'd pass it on.

A big thank you
After being on here for a considerable time I thought it would be nice to thank all the folks that take time from their daily activities to share things regarding the hobby with the rest of us. It would also be fitting to send a thank you out to Joe, and Patty and all the rest of the folks that do such a nice job of keeping things working so the rest of us can hang out.
Weekly Photo Fun - March 18th to March 24th, 2016
Wow, great work everyone last week! Time to start of this week's photo thread!
As always, we get as much out of your in-process photos as we do the highly polished "all done" shots!

Vallejo Paint and Walthers Solvaset
I almost had a disaster. I sprayed some Vallejo paint over 48 hours ago. Tonight I am decalling. I have always only used Walthers Solvaset. Tonight I used Microscale's MicroSet first, floated the deal on and when I was happy with the placement, plastered the Walthers Solvaset to it. I used Solvaset because I understand it is stronger and I am going over some rivet detail with an old Champ decal. I figured old school chemicals for an old school decal. I got a splot of Solvaset over to the side and used a Q-Tip to gently blot it up.

Where the best place to sell/trade HO trains
I have a very old train set that I bought from a friend a few years ago. It is from the 1960s. I wanted to know where the best place would be to put ads out to sell some of the trains to get the best exposure. Please be specific as possible. I am located in Maryland.
Thanks

Rail fan locations. Near Auburn WA.
I need to get someone out of the house for awhile. Does anyone here live in the south end of the seattle area. I am looking for a few locations where we could just park and watch a few trains go by. Housemouse needs to get out but it needs to be fairly short trips.

Airbrush Kit at Canadian Tire
Just a heads up. My preview of the Canadian Tire Flyer says that they are selling an airbrush kit, complete with mini air compressor for $99. Great way to get into air brushing.

The importance of "negative space" in model railroading.
Artists often refer to "negative space" in artworks; that is areas of nothing. Graphic artists refer to "white space" for printed items where nothing is printed. The purpose of negative space / white space is to set off areas where there is "something". Too much "something" can create a type of visual chaos that is not pleasing.
