Short documentary on Boston streetcar layout

I found this trailer about a short documentary on a very nice looking Boston streetcar layout.  It looks like it might be worth picking up.  The layout builders' wife has kept the layout after he passed away.  It looks like an impressive layout.

I'm making progress on my salvage yard office but have much more to do.  Here's how it looks presently:

Arduino Keypad Help?

Arduino guys,

I just ordered my first 5 Minis and the first project I want to do is to use an Arduino and keypad to control my staging yards. I need a 16 button keypad that I can number 1-16 but I'm having trouble finding a keypad that I can customize that still looks professional. Ideas?

Issues with a vendor

I'm curious how others feel about my experience with a vendor.

The last couple of weeks I started to buy detail items from a number of vendors. There are a lot of really nice items out there. I use Paypal when possible to help cut down on credit card fraud. After a typical transaction, I receive the receipt from Paypal and then the invoice/acknowledgement from the vendor. Usually a few days later, the vendor sends the shipping info. I realize that many if not most of these vendors are small, mom & pop, part time operations so I don't expect rapid shipping.

Hello All,

Just need to vent - have to tear my layout out

We are moving from our current home to our new house in Qualicum Beach, British Columbia.  Housing prices have gone bizarre, hitting highs no one would have guessed.  So we are taking our equity and running, basically a good plan.  The big negative is I have to tear out my layout which begins today.

I don't have to tell you guys how much planning and energy and money went into the layout but down it comes. I'm just venting before the pain of the first cut begins.

Respirator Filter Uses and Choice

Hi,

It looks like safety has been getting a little more attention recently on this forum.  I'm looking to finally join the crowd and get a mask to protect my lungs.  Do you think these filters would work for general layout needs:

Perfect modern Inglenook (with GP10!)

I ran across this wonderful video of Chicagojoe28’s showing operations on the Chicago Terminal railroad.

This is a modern Inglenook configuration that would provide a lot of operating possibilities in a very small layout space. Since there is a current thread talking about smaller layouts, I thought this would be interesting to discuss on its own thread.

Weekly Photo Fun - April 29th to May 5th, 2016

Awesome work everyone last week!  Time to start of this week's photo thread!

As always, we get as much out of your in-process photos as we do the highly polished "all done" shots!

Andrew
