point to point vs continuous run
do any small to medium sized point to point layout owners regret not having continuous run ability?
do any continuous run folks wish they went point to point design?
Looking for good stencil material
Hi Folks:
Im planning to do some airbrush work on some of my homebuilt cars, and would like to make stencils to use, the problem is I have no idea what to use to make re-useable stencils. I can easily do the design work in inkscape etc, and print it out, but I need something to cut the stencils out of that will be clean (make clean lines etc) and also re-useable, as I really dont want to cut them for every car
Thanks

lift outs, duck unders, hinged bridges
I have the need for 2 duck unders or 2 lift outs or 2 hinged bridges to access the layout and to exit the layout into the garage, the layout room is 7 x 21, I need some advice or input from experience, I am getting older duck under not so comfortable especially for guests, so its lift out or hinged bridges?? the other option is to dismantle the along the walls layout and rebuild a long narrow 4 x 16 ish layout that centers the room allowing walk around and trough to other door to garage...
New sights on the MRH forum!
Hi Joe,
It’s early in the morning so I may have missed one. A couple of new items showed up on the forum this morning. Who is on line was one. Neat! The second was “Mark as spam” in a post. I wasn’t sure what that button was meant to do. Could you elaborate please? Are there some more menu buttons above too?
Thanks!
Nick
Making a toyish model of a crane into something more realistic.
I got out an old Model Power crane and decided to keep it and make it a little more realistic.
So far I carved off the steps and grabs and replaced them with brass ones. I also did some light weathering.
Looking for some more ideas to make it suitable for the late fifties.
Modular layout (Italian railways + freelance).
Hi,
I would like to share with you the layout I am finally building.
It is staged in the Appenine Mountains of Italy (something like the Appalchians) and consists at the moment in a single station on three modules.
Need Atlas PC GP7 #5633
I am in need of an Atlas HO-scale Penn Central GP7 road number 5633. IF you have one that you would part with or know where I can get one please let me know.
Note: this is for a good friend and not for me.

Fun with view blocks and background photos
For the last week i have been working on a "disguise" for one of two entrance into my staging area. One is a highway overpass which is still developing. The other turned out to be with help from a Walthers Pellet Transfer a scratbuilt plastics plant. After constructing these I also added backgound phots of trees/ foilage and a city scene from the actual town I model.
Attached are a few photos illustrating my progress.
Enjoy,
Barry

MRH Babies - 3 Years Later...
It's been three years since I asked about MRH babies and compiled our list. So I thought it would be interesting to see how the little fellas are doing after three years.
How many are still growing up here on MRH?

B&O Centenary Pageant Celebration
I was at our local flea market for a short period this past Sunday morning, and look at what I found,....a poster notifying the public at that time of an upcoming 100 year celebration of the B&O railroad,,, 1827 to 1927.
Of course the B&O was America's first railroad, and there is that small engine shown on the bottom right hand corner, then a bigger steam engine of that 1927 era.
