USRA SS boxcar steel side rebuild
I've been going through my boxes of kits and stuff and came across a Tichy USRA SS boxcar steel side rebuild kit.
I'm wondering what railroads used this car and in what era. Also if I could use it for my 1956 era as a foreign car on my Canadian branch line.
Any suggestions or info would be much appreciated.
PFE reefer's ladders. What colour?
I model 1956 and I'm wondering if the ladders and grabs on these reefersshould be black or the same colour as the car?
Weekly photo fun 01/21/19-01/28/19
It's that time again of the photos to come out. I'm almost finished with these cars from Walthers & using new released microscale graffiti decals sheets on them. Used the cradles to help hold the cars while applying the decals & Dull-coat them soon.

Searching for a "Show Us Your..."
There have been a number of "Show Us Your" "Whatever" topics. I did a search on here for: show us your engine houses or locomotive servicing facilities. I couldn't find anything. So, if there has been one, could somebody link it up in here in the remarks? Or if there has not been, I humbly request: SHOW US YOUR ENGINE SHOPS!
Resistance soldering
Hello Train People,
I have a question about resistance soldering.
1. How to build an inexpensive unit.
2. How to set it up and do the actual soldering.
I have looked at quite a few videos but the information for Canadians is some what lacking. ( E: electrical parts etc.)
Looking forward to your answers. Thanx Steve

Only one week until the Amherst Show…
…and we've got the business cards on their way via rail:
Some Digital Magazines have disadvantages
Let me begin by saying I am most assuredly NOT talking about MRH! I have no issues at all with the magazine, the distribution method, reading options, nor Trainmasters TV. I enjoy all aspects of all of the above. I have been a subscriber to MRH from the git-go, and have also been a print & digital subscriber to RMC and MR for many years. As you may know, MR (digital) is distributed through Zinio, a large electronic media distribution outfit. You can either read the mags online, or download them to your computer and read them there.
Recommendations for hobby shops in Calgary
Paying Calgary a visit next week and wondering if any Calgarian model railroaders have any suggestions on visiting hobby shops.

Mini vacuum for static grass
I purchased a cute little vacuum called “The World’s Smallest Vacuum” dedicated to picking up static grass for reuse. The vacuum works very well and would make a great addition to any scenery project.
