Just after the first of the year I purchased two kits from a Turner Model Works using their online order form and paying with my PayPal account. Within Hours I received notice from TMW that my order was being processed. At the same time I received notice from Pay Pal that they had delivered the funds for the order. I thought all was well, I would soon be building an oil loading facility and an ash pit for my On30 line.

Disassembly of Rapido Caboose/Van

Does anybody have any recommendations for removing the Rapido caboose shell from the underframe? I picked up a roadname that I want to repaint into my home road, Got the cupola removed OK but don't see any means for taking off the rest of the shell from the base. Anyone done this and/or offer some suggestions. And by the way, the exploded parts diagram unfortunately didn't give me any clues either. My next step is to probably contact Rapido and see what they may be able to suggest. Thanks in advance

I still have not settled on a ballasting technique to use on my CNJ Bronx Terminal project. The grout method has some drawbacks I am not happy with, mainly it looks more like mud than dirt. I will continue experimenting with methods until I find one that will work.

So I got myself into a bit of a pickle. I have tons of mainline, plenty of passenger station tracks, a small engine service center, no real yards, and relatively few industrial service spurs. I'm not even done doing scenery but already contemplating starting over. My space is relatively small 20X20, but multi-level. I wanted to model a *LOT* of territory in a small space, so instead of smooth scene transitions, the layout tends to jump geography a lot.
