Merit Badge Academy time again
Well, here we are, the National just having ended and registration for the next Merit Badge Academy opens up on Monday. The council has added a 5$ craft fee to the merit badge, but considering what the scouts walk away with it is still the most popular merit badge at the academy.

Enjoying AMTRAK
Currently enjoying the trip from Vancouver (Canada) to Portland on the Amtrak Cascades. Looking forward to attending the NMRA convention. But currently getting my first chance to rail fan the BNSF and the great scenery. A tad different from my hometown in New Zealand.

How to remove masking tape without peeling previous coat of paint?
Hello,
I have been experiencing a painting issue recently and I'm not sure if itd due to the change in tape, change in paint, or an issue with the models. I have custom painted alot of my own models prior to them being released such as CSX YN3, Amtrak P42 (Phase 4), etc. During that time Floquil was the paint of choice and I used both Scotch's regular and Blue Painters Tape. After painting, I had no issues with pulling the tape off and not having to see part of the paint come off as well.

Is it possible to download just one specific article from the magazine without getting the entire thing?
Magazine Index Gone?
There used to be a link on the top header bar menus to a site the provided an searchable index to the MRH articles. I noticed the last time I went to use the site, it was down. And now I see the link has been removed from the header bar menus.
Did we loose this valuable resource? Hopefully the data was rescued so that it can be set up somewhere else.

Magazine hard copies?
I know that somewhere I read some discussion about the option to purchase a hard copy printed version of the magazine? Is this feature active yet? I would like a hard copy of the issue that my article appeared in. Also while I have the ear of the collective wisdom here what is the best way to "print out" just the pages of my article? I'd like to have some 8x10 photographs or similar of the article to accompany my module at shows. Instead of retelling the story of how I built it I could have the article there. I guess I could provide a scannable link to MRH too?
A "living" inventory, keeping track of all my stuff...
We recently had a pipe break in our house and caused an extensive amount of water damage, the good news is that I did not have any model railroad stuff in harms way and damage to personal belongings was minimal. It did get me thinking about my inventory of model railroad items, what if the room the the ceiling collapsed in did have all my trains? Are items stored in a way that will minimize damage or loss? Do I have an accurate account of all my items?
3D printing help
Looking for contacts for this very special project. To explain the project:
My Dad has a old Lionel HO (yes HO) steam engine. Back when I was a teenager, the engine was not functional, and I took it apart and found out why - a plastic gear on the main drive axle was cracked, and instead of driving the main axle, would just spin in place. The gear was removed and we attempted to find a replacement with no success. The engine is still fine, but the gear has gone missing over the years.
