Layout Progress Update Plus Other Stuff
Mid July 2014 Progress Update
Over the past month, I have been checking out some of my steam engines, running trains, installing decoders, worked on fixing the shorting issue with the insulfrog turnouts, and began work on the support structure for the main level. There are four videos in this update.
Milestones
May not look like much, but have my DCC hooked up and this is the first official run on the new layout. Stayed up past midnight to get this far last night, but it was worth it. Stupid flash color changed the headlights to yellow....gonna have to figure how to white balance this baby.....stilll....i'm excited.

Washington Northern
I have not seen any updates or new photos, other than the awesome weed killer, of the Washington Northern. Kevin are there updates for the layout? Some of the links on your website say under construction.
Just curious this is one of my favorite layouts.

A couple photos from Slate Fork country
Been on a bridge-building and coal tipple-making spree, but also checking out my new (for me) Canon Rebel XT. Got it and the accessories on an auction site for $99. Good enough for government work. It may be a bit dated, but stops down to f/32, brackets shots automatically, etc., etc.
First batch of photos from it are of my N scale Southern Railway Slate Fork Branch.
Slate Fork Branch Second Mine Run with a single GP38 slows to cross the plate through-girder bridge (not shown) across Slate Fork. An empty coal truck waits.
Allagash chop-nose Alco RS3 - images
Here are a few images of the latest Allagash locomotive. My buddy Neil Schofield offered to do a kitbash of a chop-nose RS3 a few months back. I said, you betcha! Neil also did the painting and decaling. I did the weathering, and enjoyed every minute of it. Lots of Alco leakage. This is the last active RS3 on the AGR.Just about ready for the deadline. For now, it's the switcher at New Sharon.
