ATSF Paradigm Division - Just Running Trains and Finding More Stuff to Fix

I have spent several hours over the last month pulling up each of the 48 insulfrog turnouts on the staging level to insulate the frogs.  This was fairly easy but tedious as I use track nails to hold down my turnouts and I do not solder them to the incoming or outgoing tracks.

Things got built

It's been a while since the last update and I actually got to build something. However, my building efforts didn't quite follow my original plans.

Landor Street - Exhibition Debut.

Landor Street was exhibited for the first time yesterday at TVNAM in the UK.  I'm very pleased to say that the layout ran flawlessly all day and seemed to be well received by the visitors to the show.  A big thank you to my guest operator Steve Williams (seen in the pictures) who looked after the layout for most of the day.  Sorry for the poor quality of the pics - the yellow walls played havoc with the camera settings.

Blast from the past - a historic video of the original BC&SJ layout

I was digging through piles of old video tapes and discovered some of the original, 4x8, Bear Creek & South Jackson. They're not HD digital quality (shot on 8mm and Hi-8), but if you've been reading my Up the Creek column, you might find a trip into history interesting. This is how the layout looked in 1998 and 1999.

Grand Model Russia

Most of us here have heard of Miniature Wonderland in Hamburg, Germany.... well, there is something very similar in Russia as well:

Pretty darn impressive.

Video from a Train Show in Australia

Hi all,

Some video from a local show here in Perth, Western Australia.  It was a busy 3 day show with some 18-20,000 through the doors.  I spent most of my time operating on the 1st 2 layouts in the video.

Bob Prehoda's Huntingdon Northern Layout You Tube Video

A good friend of mines layout is featured in this video. I learned about operation from Bob a long time ago. This is the first that his railroad has been on video. According to Bob a 14 year old did the video. His handle is "Trainonbrains" . Hope you enjoy it.
