Update on BNML Layout Progress

Switching Layout - Take Two
About a year ago, I began building a layout. I had decided I wanted a switching layout. I knew we would move out of our apartment eventually, so I decided to build it in sections so that it could move when we eventually did. I drew up some plans and began building. It was an L shaped layout, approximately ten feet by 11 feet.

Here are a few photos of my midwest, contemporary, short line railroad. It runs from a wye connection with CP, past a transload center and terminates in a balloon track which was originally part of a crossing between two defunct lines and which serves a half dozen industries. This layout dosen't compare to those of a Tom Johnson or a James McNab and it it's a work in process but it does serve the purpose of being a fun little road to build and a bit of operation for a few friends or the family.

Update on BNML Layout Progress
Here is an update on my progress on the BNML. Morris to St Jean...
This diagram shows the area covered in this update.
All the tricky bits of benchwork seem to be located in this section. The outside corner is complicated by the fact that it crosses the descending ramp to staging, so clearances are tight. And I also built my first super elevated curve. Works good so far!
