Enjoy the video of the mighty Swiss Crocodile lokomotive
Pop some Popcorn, lean back and enjoy the powerful Crocodile locomotive. The video features both the green prototype filmed in Sweden 2015 and the Märklin model 39562 filmed on a large H0 layout.
Enjoy!
Wooden Grain elevator
Hi all
I'm looking at laser cutting a wooden grain elevator to fit my Northern Montana Milwaukee road layout. My issue is do i get 'flat' wooden siding engraved in to the pieces, or do i use the laser cutting and laminate it with clapboard siding. I'd like to go with engraving as its quicker, easier and maybe cheaper.
Fast Clock Sale Ends Today!
The 20% off sale on all Fast Clocks ends today. If you've been putting off getting a fast clock for your layout, this would be the perfect time (pun intended... sorry) to make that investment.

Who will be the first?
To build a narrow gauge crossing a standard gauge railroad like this? I think it would make for an interesting model.

Pacific Harbor Lines Shelf Layout Build
It goes like this: I want a model railroad. I'm going to build one.

Drilling through small brass parts
I've been drilling through some small brass parts recently (Precision Scale) and wondered about how to make sure you are drilling straight. Seems like a simple task maybe with a drill press.
Last night I was drilling 1/16" hole through 4-5/16" brass pipe fittings.(to stick pipe through).

Homebuilt Model Making Fixtures
Hi All,
I`ve noticed a few posts here on these fine forums of different model making tools and fixtures that others have made, so I thought I would start a thread for people here to show off their model making fixtures and tools.........maybe we can all learn a thing or two in the process.

Annoyed about purchase (and slightly confused)
Ok, so Scale Models - (the company Joe was advertising recently) has offered a 12 container set (53' containers) and I was able to get my order in in time (just barely) and they have 12 different numbers. The containers are for the company I work for, so they are a must!
Set engine for DCC
I'm a beginner to model railroading.

Weathering with Mike Confalone: Project 8-CN pressure-diff hopper
For his last project, Mike Confalone weathers a light gray CN pressure differential hopper. For this car, Mike starts with some oil wash flood weathering and then moves on to more specific weathering methods to match a prototype photo. Finally, with this last car complete, Mike runs a train around to enjoy all the weathered cars set in some finished layout scenes on the Allagash.
Next up - volume 2: Weathering diesel locomotives.
