Wishram, Oregon & Western
Well, I figured I should post some pics of my Wishram lokeys and the paint schemes developed. Reckon I am sorta like the "Rock", always room for something a bit different paint wise.
First off is a heavily detailed, kitbashed GP60 from an Athearn GP50. Tis a bit modern for me, but I just could not resist:
Looking for SPROG
I am looking for a Sprog III setup for my HO layout. I am close to Dallas. Tx and would need to see this working on a layout.

Unloading grain from boxcars
Fresh out of HS in 1971, I worked at a local terminal grain elevator in Salina, KS. Capacity, around 10 million bushels. At that time, this elevator did a "boxcar" business of receiving grain by rail. I didn't see many covered hoppers, but I saw tons of boxcars. For several years I have tried to remember, let alone find, an example of how the grain was extracted from the boxcars. I remembered that there was a twin screw auger that was inserted into the boxcar, and it traveled on rails, but beyond that, nothing.

Making platform for the main station
I maybe should have reserved more length on the layout for the main station platform?

My Day at the Seattle (Puyallup), Washington WGH show
A couple of weeks ago my father-in-law asked if I wanted to drive up to Puyallup, WA (a little over 3 hours away) for the WGH show. It had been talked up a bit in the latest email blast from the NMRA's Pacific NW Region, and he thought that Digitrax was going to be there, and he had a question for them. Unfortunately, Digitrax was not there (I imagine they were prepping for the Railroad Hobby Show in Springfield, MA) so he is going to have to contact them separately (if anyone knows if there are any issues with using LiON 9V batterys in UT4R throttles, please mention it...).
Transitioning to flextrack, much faster progress
I've gotten the hang of putting down ME c55 flextrack. Took me about 8 hours to get the first 15' of handlaid track down. It's taken me less than six hours to install about 24' of flex. You can see the spot in the middle of each section of track with 20 ga. feeders soldered to the bottom web of each rail. Code 55 is really too short to hide feeders attached to the sides well. Man, those ME rail joiners are a pain in the butt, tho.
Brass Buckeye Truck Wheel Replacements...
Hi everybody, I have a brass model from Woosung, Rail Classics, with buckeye trucks. Everything is great on the model except the pizza slicer flange on the wheels. I am looking to replace with the Exactrail .088 36" wheel sets. I wanted to just throw out this before I bought the wheels to see if anybody had done this before and if there were any problems or anyone has advice?
Thanks,
Martin

A question and a small gripe
I have a NCE starter system and the removable power cord, got moved to the pile of chords. Can someone look at theirs to tell me the output of the power plug. I looked in the manual and it says nothing.
And what part of good design makes it so common to ignore this simple little detail. Which is to label your equipment, including detachable plugs, so we can establish ownership a little easier...
Last Update on my Garve and Ullapool Railway Layout
Due to a house move and change of workplace, I have to tear down my layout.
My new train room is smaller than the actual one, And there is no place for Ullapool and Inverlael. But my other modules could be reused. I will keep you up to date with my new layout.

Help - Detection and Signaling Strategy
Shown is my trackplan for moving into the yard. Track 94 to be the through track with 92 & 93, being arrivals and departures. My question is.... should turn outs 96/95 be separate blocks or could they be joined into 1 block for Detection and Signaling purposes?
Thank You,
