Final Layout design - N Scale
Hi again
Well I think I have what I'm looking for, gone for a much simpler design and yet still getting all the operations I want from the layout design
Here are a few pictures, I'm still not sure about the yard, comments welcome on this.
Here is Module A, the Coal Mine, I could add more but I think I will add trucks and equipment rather than more track. I may move the fuel track closer to the building so the hill can be closer and have more scenery impact with trees to match the backdrop.

Walthers 90' Built up turntable 933-2840 and using control box 933-2320
Hi all,
My question is mostly related to electrical making something work that is not for the intended use.
I have a Walthers 933-2840 90' built up turntable that is discontinued and has no control box to operate it that also has been discontinued.
I have been looking for a new control box that Walthers does not have or are ever going to have.
My question is, would anybody on this site know if this 933-2320 control box could be used to operate this turntable?
Thanks,
Barry

wheel contours
A rigorous review of wheel design is described by Tad Daito in the May-June issue of the O Scale Resource on line magazine. His test of custom "O" scale stainless steel wheels ran two hours a day for 13 years. http://oscale.uberflip.com/t/62954-the-o-scale-resource This work is being done in Japan using American prototype models, described thoroughly and bluntly. His Low-D reduces friction !

Williams O 3-Rail Parts
I am searching for some truck gears and pick ups for Williams 3-rail locomotives. You can buy new trucks for 75.00 each but our club has many that just need bottom gear and a pick up. Hoping for some help.
Thanks

using slide switches as turnout throws
I'm starting a new HO layout after a 20 year plus layoff from the hobby. I'm planning on using manual turnout throws where possible for economic reasons, but I'd rather not use Caboose throws because of their large size. Instead I'm thinking of using SPDT slide switches, wiring the switches to control the frog polarity. The appeal is that the slide part is very small and I can even cut it down smaller so it doesn't stick up above the scenery too much.
Classic Metal Works
Got an email notice today indicating that they are teaming up with a company called Round 2 Models to produce their vehicles just wondering if any one else got same notice.
Stewart/Tomar single track sanding tower (SP-102)
Purchased a Stewart/Tomar Sanding Tower couple years ago. Having trouble figuring out how the sand pipes connect to the bottom of the tank. Anyone built one of these that can post some photos of that attachment?

Backdrop approach for a small branch line
I’ve been working on an approach for my backdrop and was planning to practice painting techniques for clouds and terrain. At the same time I’ve been working on a children’s book with a talented local illustrator over the last several months and she graciously offered her talent to create my backdrop. Incredible!
Early Rail Boxcar
To All: The Des Moines, Iowa Falls & Northern RR existed under that name from 1899 until 1908. In 1908 the successor road was the St. Paul & Des Moines RR. Eventually this line became part of the Rock Island System. I scratchbuilt, painted and lettered this Early Rail Boxcar. Photo by Elvin Howland. Yours, Elvin Howland/E. St. Louis Rail Group Layout.

Another track design
Hi all
Here is another plan that I have been working on, getting the design right must be the hardest part of any track build "LOL"
This is the top level
