Intermodal terminal images

I am looking for a panoramic photo of an intermodal terminal, either shore or inland based, as a photo backdrop for my new layout. As shown in the attached drawing, the length of the terminal is roughly 13-14 feet. The grid is 1"= 1'. If someone has a better idea for a backdrop scene that will fit these dimensions, I'm all ears.

Creating a workable trainroom space

I'm realising when working in the train room there is a lot of mess sawdust, wiring bits, plastic shavings, etc. So to get rid of this I pull out the vacuum cleaner, the problem is that it cleans the visible mess and then leaves an invisible filtered dust in the air which over a couple hours falls down on the layout structures trees and track. The metal part of the track doesn't matter because we can easily clean that part but the rest we can't. So the fine dust lands and with the moisture in the air it cakes a very fine layer on the scenery.

Athearn RTR SD38 "Cogging" Issues

Hi All,

I have a small switching layout set up temporarily until I can get to work on something more permanent. It's basically an expanded Inglenook design using (2) Atlas #6 turnouts and a handful of 9" straights. I have power feeds in 3 locations, one at each end of the "main" and one in one of the sidings. Of course the permanent layout will use flex and perhaps ME turnouts, but for now I was hoping this would suffice.

Apparently not.

School me on SP water cars.......

I understand the concept of SP's water car operations but I am looking for a little perspective of the behind the scenes stuff.  I'm guessing they would be filled in a similar fashion as the old water tenders for steam and not off garden hose off the yard office, would the road crew have to grab a couple of cars before the getting the rest of the train, etc?  Thanks for any insight

Steve
