Decal paper
I'm looking into making custom decals for rolling stock, using blank decal paper and a laser printer. Microscale and Champ do not list blank papers, but Walthers does.
Walthers 932-706821 is Dull finish blank decal paper.
Walthers 934-706822 is Gloss finish blank decal paper.
Has anyone used these? Plus/Minus? Is there a preference for using Dull finish or using Gloss finish?
Is there another brand that you recommend? Other ideas or suggestions?
Thanks for the help.

Getting started in Aus...
Hi All,
I'm after some advice on layout design & trackplan ideas for my new railroad/layout. Firstly the layout will be in a insulated tin shed in our backyard, dimensions are as follows (conversions supplied from metric to imperial):
Overall dimensions = 7m x 4m (22.96 ft x 13.12 ft)
Overall Space = 28 m2 (301 sq ft)
Scale: HO
Maximum Track Length = 17.5m (can be extended to 21m) or 57.4 ft (can be extended to 68.89 ft)
Minimum Radius = 762mm (30")
Electrical: DCC

Thinning Enamel Paints
Hi all-
I'm experimenting with some track weathering techniques and one of the things I'm experimenting with is with washes of enamel paints. I have been using turpenoid OMS to thin the paint, but I find that the paint is taking a LONG time to try between each application of the wash.
Does anyone have a suggestion for an alternative method of thinning enamels that speeds up the drying process? I know it's going to be a longer time than an acrylic regardless, but anything that can cut the time down at all I would be interested to hear.
Roadbed type and track code for HO
Hi
I apologize if this is a very common question answered often and elsewhere..
Starting from scratch, planning a dual mainline loop, walkin layout approx 15'x30' avail area with 30" radii, a big hidden helix to get to an upper level. Small yard and minimal switching. Planning to use 1/2" plywood subroadbed and laminated hardboard where necessary for clearance. Dont have a lot rolling stock or locos. The best of what I do have is 10 year old non-dcc proto2000 that I will convert to DCC.

Decoder Pro - transfer loco list
I have two computers with decoder pro - I used the laptop to add a new loco at the train board on the programing track. I now want to export the loco roster and import to my desktop so i have two copies. decoder pro has roster, export and roster, import option but for only one loco at a time. I want to copy all the files to avoid the requirement for one at a time. suggestions - thanks mark
