Central Valley Tie Strips and gluing rail question/opinion
Hello everyone.
I am probably going to use CVT in my yard and sidings as I like the way the ties are spread out over the mainline ties (I am still going to use ME code 83 for the main). My question is, I have heard and seen many types of adhesives used for fixing the reail to the ties. I have seen Barge (CVT recommends this), CA, super glue, pliobond etc.... Do you have a favorite, good result, or recomendation?
This is coming up fast so I would like some opinions.
Thanks you for your help as always.

Decals
Now that Champ is gone, (Don't blame me,I bought as many as I could), Does anyone know a source of Gold Roman 1/16th high alphabet and numeral sets for passenger cars? I just bought more troup cars and really would like to renumber them so I don't have any duplicates!
Thanks in advance.

Model Railroad Software Freeware
I released the gold version of a program I wrote to inventory model railroad equipment including cars, locomotives, structures, electonics and all the books from your library . Easy Model Railroad Inventory is freeware and can be downloaded to your computer. The program has been in development for a year and a half and in beta for a year. Some members of the Tidwater Divsion of the NMRA plus others participated in the beta testing group. I will not repeat the contents of the web site here.

Staging Color??
I'm about to start building the staging area that will be 10" under the main deck. I am planning to use drywall on 1/2" plywood. What color would you paint the drywall? I am thinking a darker color to not draw attention to the staging area, but don't think that black is the right color.
Any insight is appreciated!

HO scale Chain Link Fences...
Hi All,
Just after some advice on what others have used for chain link fences on their layouts. I've purchased a Walthers kit for the module I'm currently working on. But I will need a considerable amount more for the layout, and it is getting increasingly hard to find the Walthers kits here in Australia.
Has anybody actually scratch built a chain link fence using Evergreen styrene and a chain link alternative like fly wire screen for example?
Cheers,

Building Flats vs. ?
I am in the process of designing an industrial switching shelf layout and am wondering if there is any scenic advantage to having buildings on the backdrop having any thickness to them. I initially started with the buildings that would have rail sidings be up to two inches thick to have them stand off from the backdrop which would also have printed buildings on them for depth. I am not sure if the effect would be just as good if these customer structures were building flats. If I can gain an inch, or so by making the structures flats, I could use that inch or so el
