I left the skewer trunks out and just used one layer of filter material.

Custom Made Decals---Lessons I've learned making my own water slide decals
You’ve probably seen catalogs that have inkjet decal paper advertised and thought “I wonder how difficult making my own decals would be?” Well it’s really not that difficult, but up until now it’s kind of been a ‘black-art’ meaning there hasn’t been too much press on the subject. I want to tell you about my experiences with creating my own decals, now I’m certainly no authority on making decals but I have learned a few things along the way that hopefully will help people produce good results.

Foam Rocks, "Finished" scene
Here are some quick pics of the Owens Creek area of my layout. I used the title "Finished" as all the foam rockwork is done and most of the ground cover and trees. The stone abutments are still plywood and there is more work to be done on the waterfall and ground cover at the base of the trestle. Once that is done I can install the rest of the cross bracing on the bridge and ballast the track.

A track plan for Mike Confalone's Allagash RR
I've all ways been a big fan of Mike's modeling. And I've seen lots of pictures and videos of his layout in magazines and the web. It would be very helpful to see a track plan of his layout to follow along his pictures, videos, and articles. How could I find one? Is it published in one of the model railroader magazines that he was in?
