I collected a lot of signs for my Georgetown & Allen Mountain Railroad. They can be downloaded from my website:

Beacon at dusk
a short clip of the beacon near the F&B wharf:

The RGB and warm/white LED strips are dimmed to about 10%, the webcam has an auto brightness feature which gets confused then, there's no problem when the output gets above 30%, perhaps the influence of the controller pwm frequency ?
cheers, Leo

SD70ACs GREAT WET PAINT PICTURES FROM LINCOLN, NE DEC 2012
This was written and pictures taken by a friend.
It has been a while since I have sent a photo e-mail – time seems to pass quickly for me…which is a good thing! I have posted a number of images, but have not had time to send out any messages so feel free to peruse my most recent albums….
On with this story: Below are links to a few images taken at BNSF Hobson Yard in Lincoln, NE this month.

Suggest article topic JMRI tutorial
I would like to suggest an article, maybe even a column about using JMRI productively. MRH has the advantage of unlimited space which would allow for screen shots with the text.
I don't know if others are as thick as I am, but I know I would get a lot out of any article.
Food for thought?

DCC question
I mentioned I wanted to limit the top end speed of my locomotives. I am using Digitrax which has a setting for HO and N scale. My locomotives are HO.
I was told to change to N scale and that would slow the engines. Is this true? I don't want to hurt my motors.

Working on the track layout for the new board
I have been thinking about what I want from the new main board for my railroad. I have been working on, as you would say in the USA - or at least John Armstrong used to say - my givens and druthers. These come out as follows:

1st Homemade Pine Tree
Using balsa wood and caspia, this is my first attempt at making a pine tree. Seems a bit fat, but this should improve as more are made. (Thomas thinks it is a good start)

Further Progress
It has been just a few months without an update. I am still working on the rural side of this 4X6 layout. This is a shot of the cliff, stream and tunnel entrance.
