Help with sector plate
Premise #1 – the layout room is never quite big enough.
I have a yard at Mitchell, MN that in reality featured a wye to turn the steamers. Inside the wye was the engine house and coal tower and tracks. The model version is in a corner of the room, and so includes the yard tracks and engine house but only one leg of the wye. The wye track continues on to Hibbing, as it did in real life.
So, how about a sector plate from the coaling track to the GN line through Hibbing?

Routing DCC and DC Wiring Busses
I'm starting the wiring for my new layout and I've been reading up on the "best practices' for DCC wiring at sites hosted by some of the gurus like Mark Gurries, Allen Gartner and -of course- our own Bruce Petrarca. I've got a fairly good handle on the DCC wiring, and the plain DC wiring for things like switch machines, lighting and accessories isn't a big deal.
what decoder to use
I am looking for a N.scale sound decoder for a rs2 or3. I am kinda tied in to the rs (i just like them and they fit my period and place). I have not purchased the loco or the decoder yet. I do have non sound dcc kato and atlas rs2,3.What I did was purchase a nce power cab and I want to at least have one loco using sound.
Any ideas?

Middlesex Mfg. Co. kitbash
Photos of my latest project. It is a kitbash of the Atlas Middlesex Mfg. Co. It is the second to last building I need to build for the Green Bay Industrial District on my CNW HO scale railroad. I will post more photos after I complete it.
#1 - Pieces parts set approx. where the building will sit.
#2 - Original front & larger end wall spliced together. original pieces from the other end wall, used for the return walls.
#3 - Bottom, middle floor & new roof piece. Tubing for lights.

Identify a decoder
the package. I'm sure I knew what it was for at the time but not now. I
sort of remember there was a CV that told you the model decoder it is but
can't find any info on it, Any Help appreciated!!
Thanks,
Peter

I have a Lionel Locomotive in a box for 25 years. It will run in reverse but in forward it will only hum and throw sparks.

Locomotive Teardown and Rebuild
Really interesting program takes you through a teardown of a Geep 9 and rebuilding it as a Genset.

passenger car lighting
I'm a new member, and like your forums. I am a grand-dad, and just getting
into G-scale LGB with my grandson. I am having a problem trying to figure
out how to get some lighting in a couple passenger cars. All the cars we
have so far have plastic wheels. I think I would like to go the track
pickup route, but would like to see pictures or video on how to hook this up
Any help would be greatly apprecmated
