Built date

Does anyone know the built date for this CN loco and is the paint sceme appropriate for 1974?

And what is that little green circle with the white mark in it on the front of the hood just above the N in the CN?

NCE Mini Panel custom face plate

Thought I would share a face plate I made for a NCE mini panel.

My railroad has all the wiring hidden behind a fascia, out of site, out of reach.  The NCE mini panel has a programming jumper and a setup port that needs to be used for programming.  Instead of burring the panel under the layout I decided to make a face plate and mount it to the front of the layout. It is the same height as the PCP panel face but wider of course.

What about MZL ??

Hi,

I was browsing and learned that a progressive cab control system was designed many moons ago under the name MZL.

I have some issues of Model Railroader but I miss the one dated February 1974 with the opening installment of this short serie authored by Ed Ravenscroft.

Maybe someone does have it in .pdf and could send it to me ??

My address = on5py@belgacom.net

Thanks and have a very good year !

N Scale Plymouth Switcher DCC Conversion

Hello again. A comment on a previous post (http://model-railroad-hobbyist.com/node/16456) mentioned problems with weight and pickup for these small switchers. I have two of them and plan to convert one to DCC following the excellent results obtained by

Richlawn RR V2 - Scott Perry's scratch built team track ramp

Do you know what is cooler than having your own scratch built structure on your layout? - Having a scratch built structure made by a good friend!  In my case it was my friend Scott Perry who is an excellent modeler and general wise-guy.wink
