Slow motion switch machines

I am in the analysis paralysis phase of my layout design and I have come to the subject of the slow motion switch machine.

I have been looking at a few and I have come up with a list of desires and wants.

Eastern & Portland RR

Eastern & Portland Boxcar

To All: This Eastern & Portland 50 foot boxcar I painted, lettered, weathered and dullcoated. It ia a fictional railroad featured in a movie. Can anyone tell me the title of the movie and who starred in it? Yours, Elvin Howland/E. St. Louis Rail Group Layout

Future of Radical Flats from Kingmill

Hi,

I've tried some Googling and searching but can't seem to find any answers (which doesn't mean they aren't out there...).  Apparently Kingmill is done with the radical flats line and they've sold everything to a new company.  (Check out their website: http://www.kingmill.com/) Does anybody know who (if anybody) will be producing these kits in the future?

Thanks!

Foamcore Spray booth

I haven't made any progress on my foam core inglenook. But I did have some foam core left over. 3 pieces 20x40. I recently got my new air compressor fired up and since my spraybooth was lost in a the move several years ago I needed something. I am spraying acrylics exclusively (or at least plan to) but wanted somewhere to spray into that was a little better than a cardboard box. What's better than cardboard? FOAMCORE!

Crossing the Main????

After a week away in dreary, humid, rain on me every day Florida, I returned to do a bit of work tonight on the Idaho Belt at the paper mill. I'd been tweaking the track plan for this area because while the prototype mill this layout is based on is on a branch that sees no through traffic inside the mill, my version will. And that makes me wonder about the placement of my power plant spur and the pulpwood spur.

wire size #AWG

What size wire (#AWG) should be used for DC & DCC? From the transformer to the rail?

Rivarossi 0-8-0 with RP25 flanges

I have an opportunity to buy a Rivarossi 0-8-0. It is a later production as it has RP25 flanges. What other improvements (if any) did they make to the locomotive? I am wondering about the motor especially. Hoping they ditched the old 3 pole one.

Layout #7

Well the Dames Point Railroad was removed and briefly replaced with an N scale layout. But I discovered N scale was just too small so I sold all of that and I am back in HO. Unfortunately I sold ALL of my HO stuff so I am now starting from scratch on layout #7. Hopefully this is the last one.
