Modeling topic
track noise
I am about to start my layout that I have been dreaming about for 50 years! I have built several modules in the past and helped with a couple of club layouts. My question is about how to keep the track noise down so sound systems can be heard. I saw an article in the January Model Railroader about using Dynamat (auto sound deadener) under cork road bed. Has anyone tried this other than the author? What would you suggest? Homasote is not a commonly available product in the Denver area.

Shingles on the HO house and weathering a gondola
I've been workin on these 2 items just today and I'm not done yet ,all I have been using for the shingles is sand paper and when it's done I'm gonna paint the roof. If you have any questions just comment I'll answer them:)! -Saul Osorio

DASH 8 radiator upgrades
Does any detail manufacturer make a part for "upgrading" a Dash 8 with the split cooling modifications? Or, has anyone attempted to kitbash or scratchbuild said modifications?

MRH - Photo Backdrop Repository...
All, I have an idea that has grown from my own searches and those that are currently going on in the backdrop images thread.
With Joe & MRH's permission I'd like to start a thread (this one) as a MRH Backdrop Image Repository. Now there may need to be some finer details hashed out, and some rule set but the basic concept is to have MRH members post images for others to use on their respective layouts as backdrop images.
