Double Spout Water tank for My "Great Western Railroad"

One of the structures the Great Western Railroad had in it's Loveland Colorado yard was a double spout water tank. I desperately needed  to model this for My Ho scale GW layout. I have searched for a long time looking for a wood kit that I could afford. I was very fortunate to find a complete unopened Sheepscott Scale models water tank at a local Train show last fall. It still needs the roof  which I haven't started and also it came with only 8 hoop fasteners so I have ordered a package of 99 fasteners from my LHS. Here is a photo of My progress so far..

Some more pictures of my ¨future¨HO layout!!

Hi fellas, here are a few more pics of my ¨soon to be´ HO layout... the vast Western USA is my expiration... I gotta thank my good friend and fellow N scale modeler Paul Brennecke.  Thanks to him I had the opportunity of visiting places like the Big Ten Curves and Moffat Tunnel in Colorado... guess that´s why I am a fan of UP!!

Keystone Mill build thread

Hi All
One of my customers in Holland is doing a build thread for this kit on the kit forum and though you might like to check it out. He did a great job on it I think.

New Signage Technics

Hello All, it's my first post!!

First I want to say that the people here are really great, and I have been submersed in the info that has been so widely shared!! Thanks everyone!

I just wanted to show the results I got, by using a new method. At least to me it was!

I'm talking about  putting signs on the sides of buildings!

I printed them, in (HP)Best quality, on Patch Paper! Then I used a new blade, to cut out the logos.

Multi-layer photo backdrop

The main scene/diorama on my layout represents my hometown, Miles City, Montana, in 1959.  This diorama is 16" deep and 16' long, along one side of a former single car garage.  In order to provide staging and multiple train possibilities there are two hidden tracks behind the diorama, next to the wall.  I need access to these tracks, but don't want to see them otherwise.  So the backdrop behind them needs to be easily, and selectively, removable.  In many areas

static grass applicator electricals

Great discussion on home made static grass applicators BUT, how do I go about making the electrical charge? There are several references to 9v and 12v applicators but no actual description of building the electrical part.

Anyone got a good description of the electronics?

Cheers, Adrian

The Train Room, More photos from the GS&M Layout

Checking for bench work height with old portable layout (Was from and old railroad plan book).  Your looking at a 2 foot wide section over a 1 foot wide section.  You can also see the reach problem with the 2 foot wide section.
