Has anyone had experience with the Walthers Street Sections
Has anyone had any experience with the Walthers Street sections? I am looking into them and was wondering if they are a good quality and easy to use/worth the money.
How did you attach your brass sand tower?
Attached is a photo of an Overland brass sand tower. I've made some notations on the picture.
May question concerns attaching the tower to the layout.
That flat metal base plate is to be removed. I can't seem to get my head around how to hold that tower in place and steady. If I could find a screw long enough, I'd like to put a washer under the layout and insert the screw up through the layout and attach it that way. Seems like overkill though.
Any thoughts on how others got this thing installed on their own layout?

Sep 2015 Act IV - Easy structure interiors
A few details on the walls and roof of a structure can add realism, but don't forget the interior. Modeler Miles Hale shares some quick tips for giving buildings a lived-in look. Watch it now on TrainMasters TV ....
Modeling Adobe Walls with Illustration Board
I'm always on the lookout for quick and easy modeling techniques that also return good results. For a current structure build, I wanted the "original" lower story to be made from old, plastered adobe. I could have cast the walls in Hydrocal or even carved them out of foam, but while looking around my work bench to see what was handy, I stumbled across the idea of simulating the adobe walls with Illustration board.
Scratchbuilding is fun!
Hi all.
I have been scratch building some sort of a feed mill, based on Tom Johnson's INRAIL one(with his permission, of course).
There's still much to be done, but things are going the way I want to.
What do you think?
Best wishes.

Your opinion please - bridge over waterfall
I'm planning on installing this N scale bridge over the waterfall and wanted to get your opinion on the placement. The bridge hasn't been painted or weathered yet. Most of both ends of the bridge will be obscured by landscape with possibly the support pier being visible on the right. I'll put a N scale vehicle on the bridge nearest the front. Thanks in advance for your input!
