Linking to an individual posting....Problem
I've been having problems linking to an individual posting lately. Yes I do know how to do it, and have done it on numerous occasions.
But I've experienced problems a number of times lately,..the most recent this morning. I tried it 3-4 times on the same posting, but when I click on the title of the individual posting, it takes me to the original title of the subject thread, rather than the title of the individual reply I am trying to link to ??
Save an Individual Posting as a PDF
What is the best way to save an individual posting on this forum?
I believe I've seen lots of references to saving as a PDF? Is this a really good way to saving a posting, along with the photos present in the posting?? I'm having some problems with this.

Prototype photos for small ore/minerals loading facility - 1950s era
I'm trying to build a prototype-freelance model of a small ore loading facility for early 1950s era Southern Pacific branch-line layout and need prototype photos and info so I can come up with a reasonably plausible design. I wonder if anyone can give me any leads.
Model Railroader Digital - your experience ?
I would appreciate some feedback. I have also been an MR subscriber for years. Just a month ago I switched to digital (because of the accumulation of magazines). They use the Zinnio platform to download and read the magazine. I would like to keep it on a memory stick (like I do with MRH) but that is evidently not possible with how MR does it. Talking to MR customer svc, she claims they (Zinnio)will keep it on file indefinitely for access or I can print it out on my printer (can you imagine how much ink that will use ?)., but direct download is not an option.
embedding video
Please could you tell me how to embed a you-tube video into a blog entry. I tried recently but it did not work. RSieler kindly embedded it for me.
I wrote my blog on a MacBook Pro computer. I clicked on the embed media icon, pasted the link to the you-tube video then clicked OK. All I got was a link in the blog entry that did nothing.

Hoping Joe or another Moderator sees this. Is there anyway to be notified when someone replies to a thread that I either started or made a previous comment to? There have been a few times where people have asked questions and I didn't reply, only because I didn't realize they asked.
I've been involved in other discussion forums (not railroad related) that send an email when someone replies to a thread I've been involved in. It helped continue the discussion.
How to control your topic
I have a question. Is thier any way to actually control a thread on this forum? By that I mean can I post (somehow) and lock out or delete spicific posts or posters from being able to post to my topic/thread?
The reason I ask is I have noticed that certain types of discussions will start off well but eventually those with a different view on the subject will enter the thread even if asked not to and ultimately the thread blows up and gets locked and a good discussion gets trashed.
December issue? Fri: MRH / Sat: RE **LARGEST ISSUE EVER**
I know I am being impatient after Thanksgiving, and I am sure that Joe had a very busy holiday with family, but I am also sure I speak for many of us who want their December MRH and RE issues. Any idea on the timing? Later this week?
