This is odd, and I've checked it on two web browsers, against other known offenders.  The MRH website is not showing advertisements.  None.  No buttons at the upper right, no banners above the Topic bar / below the MRH logo.

The one browser does have uBlock Origin on it, but that is explicitly disabled for the MRH domains.  The other (Opera) shows it the same way, but shows all the annoyances of the Reuters (www.reuters.com) news site.

Maintenance of some sort underway?

I'm not sure if it just me but I think that there may be a problem displaying vertical format photos on the MRH website. The problem appeared to start after the last major software upgrade that was notified a few weeks back. It affects vertical format photos that have been recently uploaded as well as when displaying vertical format photos in some some threads that predate the recent changes.

I just read Jack London's book 'The Road'.  It's a semi autobiographical store of his life in the 1890's as a hobo. A fair portion of the book is riding freights during the winter in the northwest.    very cold conditions.    I don't remember the exact wording but he implies you could drop into the roof ice hatch to get inside the reefer.  It's still very cold but no wind.

Why was the ability to color text disabled?

For example, my name in my signature used to be green. Sometime ago (not sure when, but well over a month ago, I think), it turned to black. Attempting to add the color command back in via the signature editor does not work.

Colored text can provide effective emphasis, but, although editing the source to add the coloring command appears to work in the Preview window, when saved it's removed.

Did the color text commands cause some sort of issue within the forum software?
