Handrails

I would like to know what size wire you guys use for handrails in ho scale, I was thinking .015 but not sure, looking like it will be a long winter, I figured I would replace handrails on my locomotives.

Rusty Rail Color pen and more for one dollar

Now that got your attention, huh ?  Yesterday at my local Dollar Store I came across a set of 8 permanent markers made by a company named Jot.  They have a nice point and the brown pen works well for coloring the side of the rail and maybe a few individual ties.  I'm going back for some more.

Penn Central caboose with a white stripe.

I saw a model of a Penn Central caboose with a white stripe down through the middle. Is there a prototype for this caboose?

Site was down for about two hours for maintenance

The MRH website was down for about two hours for some server maintenance. It took longer than expected, but the site's back now!

Sorry for any inconvenience.

Need advice for a DC motor performance issue

First a little background.....

I'm restoring two Revell SW7's (clutch drive). Besides the usual clean and lube, I replaced the decayed/original drive bands with new O-rings and the original weakened Alnico magnets with neodymiums. Additionally, I disabled the clutch drive and it's now direct drive. The identical changes/components were used on both units.
