A big thanks to Ken Patterson

I would like to give a big thank you to Mr. Ken Patterson, for his hospitality, opening up his home, for this past weekends St. Louis RPM Meet.   It was great to finally meet him, and see his beautiful HO layout, and superb models. It was very enjoyable to just kick back with the other visitors, and talk about model railroading, and the hobby in general.    This was my first RPM Meet, and I will be back next year for sure.

Club or Member location listings?

Looking to see if there are any clubs near Athens, TN which, is about halfway between Knoxville and Chattanooga.

Did a search and found a bunch of posts touting the idea of a member/club location listing, from 2010-2013.

But have not located the actual listings by region/city/state etc.

Did this ever come to fruition?  Maybe I just haven't found it yet.

Can anyone direct me to the directory?

Thanks much.

Sorry, re-ordering Running Extra

Sorry, re-ordering Running Extra magazines and the result is lots of entries on recent posts. Can't be helped, just keep on discussing things and they will fade into the back pages soon enough!

How Do I .........

Can someone please give me some pointers on :

  1. How do I edit a previous post?

  2. How do I post a real photo, not just a file that needs to be clicked on?

Not new to Model Railroad Hobbyist but new to posting on the forum. Any and all help is welcome....John

Specific Searches with Google

This was recently posted on one of the forum discussions, but I'm not sure I understand it.??

If you did not know, google search supports specifying the site name (in RR's case, "railroad-line.com") along with keywords and the search will only look at that site.  Using this approach on any of our favorite sites, like this one, MRR, etc. can help get you right to the relevant photos, tips, and techniques you are looking for.

I am sure it was overlooked with the Covid19 issues, but it's that time again.

Happy July 4th weekend!

The throaty bark of 7FDL’s and 251B’s in run-8 echoes off the walls of the old Borst & Burhans buckwheat flour mill in Cobleskill, N.Y. as Bicentennial-painted U23B 1776 leads a southbound D&H freight starting to gather momentum for the imminent climb up Richmondville Hill in October, 1975.
