MRH messaging and spam filters.....If I don't reply

If I don't reply to an MRH message please understand that the dog ate my homework......no that's not quite right, that doesn't make sense....oh yeah, my spam filter ate your message. This has been a consistent problem with the MRH messaging system and I have forgotten the solution. I'm sure that I'm not the only one. So, being lazy by nature, instead of searching for an answer I've posted an SOS and await instructions to permanently resolve my personal travails. Hopefully this will help others too.

Digitrax throttles

Hey guys,

What are ya'll using for batteries in your DT402 ? I have tried different brands of rechargeable and regular 9 volt batteries and neither seem to last more than 30 to 45 minutes. Is this normal?

Base Colors to Enhance Primary Colors

I have wondered about this for a while, and a comment in another thread sparks re-interest. When painting, which base colors bring out the best of the primary color? Other than black, gray or white, what works better with certain colors? As stated in another thread, a silver base seems to bring out the best in yellow, I also heard that silver is a good base for red.

This isn't about the application process (brush/airbrush/roller), or thinning or acrylics/enamels/lacquers.

Online operations game

Hi, I would like to have a fun operations game.

A train is sent into the world. Anyone can pick it up, switch out some cars and send it on with a picture. There is no need to match the equipment being sent, just have some fun.

Please keep the train reasonably short and state your railroad station.

Have fun

WARNING - Don't get taken by Model Railroad Academy!

Watch out for Model Railroad Academy!

I got suckered by their low $3 membership several months ago, and I just got a strange $124 charge on my credit card today with this description:

PRODUCTS PROGRAMS SUBSCRIPTIONS, 1903 WAYZATA BLVD., WAYZATA, MN, 55391

I did a google search and found this:

Thanks

Dale

I just downloaded the MRH hub for ipad

Thanks for doing it, but there is one thng I really want that is not there.  Everyday I want to check the “general discussion” and the “scenery” fora.  I can’t  see any easy way to get to them.  Is there? if not, please add a sidebar instead giving me easy access instead of another photo

MRH hub

Please add a link to forums, better yet a drop doown menu with thte list of forums.  I like to start at the web hub but the next thing i want to go to is the forums.

Happy Easter everybody

He is risen!!!

In this time of need, we need to stay positive and check on our friends and family.

Shortline Railroads That Are Privately Or Independently Owned

This thread is born out of comments from another thread. I am putting together a list of shortline railroads that are privately or independently owned and not by a Class I railroad, Rail America, Genesee & Wyoming, Watco, or any governmental agency. I know of a few examples of shortline railroads that fit this category:

Salt Lake, Garfield, and Western Railway(SLGW)
Oregon Pacific Railroad(OPR)
Omaha, Lincoln, and Beatrice Railway(OLB)
Modesto and Empire Traction Company(MET)
Denver Rock Island Railroad(DRIR)
