Why only use model colors ???? So many to use beside Floquil or any model colors line
Since the demise of Floquil and Polly Scale, there are numerous questions and topics about the use of paints, in fact which colors and which line of paints could replace Floquil and Polly Scale.
Everybody seems lost, nobody knows what to use; questions are everytime the same : is it a good paint; a good line.....endless but nobody seems really convinced by any other brands of colours except the deceased Floquil and Polly Scale line.
How do I Add a mask to a model train video.
I have recently started taking videos from a small camera mounted on a carriage on my HO layout. Although the footage looks good, the view of the ceiling, and peripheral scenery distracts the view.
What I would like to do is frame the train video with the inside view of the loco, ( either steam or diesel ). The end result would look as if you are looking from the inside of the cabin of the loco through the front windscreen.

Decals for CSX Passenger Office Cars
Hello everyone,
I want to replicate some of the CSX office cars and the ones I've seen on Fallen Flags and other places have names on the sides of the cars. I checked Microscale and didn't see any. I'm looking for suggestions on where I can possibly find them. I have a printer and decal paper. It's an Office Jet so I'm not so sure of the quality.
Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks to all who reply!

Why does MRH Host BLOGS?
I understand why MRH would host topics, nothing like a good old discussion on battery powered locomotives to help site traffic. Then there is the "How to" topics, what site wouldn't want to be known as the go to place for Model Railroading help.
BLOGS, do they add value to the site? What about cost of storage and traffic?
Would MRH ever consider allowing members to have a link to their BLOGS or a list of member BLOGS and a description of the content?
How many freight cars are on your model railroad?
Hey guys,
Just sent an email to my Allagash operating crew after yesterday's session and thought I'd just copy it here. Wondering how many of you know how many freight cars are actually on your railroad or in "inventory."
To be honest I didn't know,and the numbers took me by surprise. Geez!
Lost Youtube link in old blog
What would cause a link to Youtube layout videos in a blog entry to suddenly disappear after being in the blog for four years? The videos are still on Youtube.
Athearn GP-9 bodies on a Proto 2000 Gp-9 chassis
Since I know mechanically the Athearn BB and proto 2000 are similar, my question is can bodies of the Athearn BB GP-9 fit on the Proto 2000 GP-7/9 chassis?? I'm asking because I have a couple of detailed and custom painted BB GP-9 bodies on unpowered chassis...and a few brand new Proto 2000 GP-7 and 9s.
