CP caboose yellow

Has anyone found a good acrylic color match for CP caboose yellow?  I believe Polly Scale had a paint named CP caboose yellow.  Also there appears to have been a slight change in the color CP used or it was due to fading since the wide vision cabooses appear to by a browner yellow when compared to photos of other cabooses.  I am building a plywood sided cupola caboose.  Testors Model Master has a lot of different yellow colors!

Weekly Photo Fun July 29 - Aug 4, 2018

Hey, we're overdue to start the next photo fun thread for the week!

Modeling a diesel deadline

Hey guys

Something I've always wanted to model is a diesel deadline. All major railroads have them and I think it makes a statement as to the railroad's history.

On the proto-freelanced Allagash, we have a caboose track at Madrid. With the move to 1984 a few years back, the caboose track is used less and less as cabooses begin to become less common. We still run them on most of the road jobs, but most of the locals go without, per the prototype in that era.

Spell Check question— with the ANSWER

I didn't find a topic so apologies if this is a repeat.

I noticed there appears to be a spell checker that underlines misspelled words in read, but yet doesn't offer correction or list of possible correctly spelled words.  Is it broken or is there a way to make it work.  It's a hassle to have to go to google to find a correct spelling and I've gotten rusty since I haven't been drilled for spelling by my dear old mom for about 40 years now!

Can the list of pages go on the top?

Hi Joe.

As I navigate the various posts here, I often have to scroll to the bottom of the page to get to the quick links to other  pages. Is it possible to have that page element at the top of each page as well as the bottom? I know I can manually change the page in the URL, but that's cumbersome. No biggie, but it would be a convenient feature to have.

Aberdeen Carolina and Western layout build

Hello all,

After 20 years in n scale I am switching to HO. I will be modeling the Aberdeen Carolina and Western in south central North Carolina. I am inspired by the works of Thomas Klimoski, Mike Confalone and Lance Mindheim.

My room is 12' long by 9' wide and squeezws down to 8' at the end. I will be using Digitrax Super Empire Builder,Atlas code 83 track and #6 turnouts. My benchwork is mostly 18" wide built on a grid with 2" foam cap.

Ho Scale 4 x 8 layout of DOOM

Ok maybe Doom is bit of over exaggeration, but this plan was built to entertain, engage, and maybe confuse the general public. I was helping to start a model railroad and we wanted to build something to engage the public at shows, get them to stop so we could talk to them about a club. The goals were to build the standard 4' x 8' but with a twist. We wanted it be DCC controlled, have nice scenery and be able to have multiple trains running with only one operator.

@JoeF I'd like to help you serve us...

Visiting the Ghostery report on MRH's website, it offers 2 trackers...       Google Analytics and OpenX

I have (through my confidence in your service) unblocked them... but I'd like some info on them since they collect info on me:

1.  How do you use them?

2.  What is your benefit?

I'm hoping there's some support offered to MRH through their presence... I'm just curious (and grateful it's not Facebook... never liked their business model).

Any geep lovers

This my atlas GP7 with lok sound...
