Happy Fourth Of July - Show us your red, white & blue locos!

Happy Fourth Of July to my fellow Americans! Let's see your red white & blue railroad equipment. I'd especially like to see freelanced models.

NCE BACHMAN GP7 VOLUME CONTROL

I Know the function 8 key turns sound on or off, but is there a way to just change (lower) the volume of the sound for a Bachman GP7 using NCE power cab? I do not have the paperwork that came with the loco?  any assist is appreciated.  I am still looking on line but thought Id tap into some knowledge here.

Ingalls 4-S

Greetings all,

I've gotten a job to install a sound decoder in a brass Ingalls 4-S. Doing research I know this loco had some type of marine V-8 in it but I have no idea what kind. My question is has anyone done a install for this engine and if so what decoder was used? Of course I would prefer using a Soundtraxx if I can.

Thanks in advance!

HO-Gauge - Bachmann - Pennsylvania Alco 2-6-0 Steam Locomotive Mogul

Just received a new Mogul Pennsy road name and like to add some engine details per a prototype Pennsy 2-6-0. I am looking for detail items to enhance the loco. Suggestion on what details to add and the manufacture that has them.

Canadian hobbyists, Happy Canada Day.

I wonder if we can set up a bonfire this close to the tracks.

Front Coupler for N-Scale Steam

Have a "What-I-Did" delving into an operating front coupler for the Bachmann N-scale 2-8-0

Always about what I am doing and not really how to.

Old concor SW7 with kato trucks ?

AS some may know two wheels have the rubber traction insert . Since they are Kato trucks where can I get wheel sets? Would they be the same as the old atlas or Stewart/Bowser ?

Walthers American Crane

Has anyone had any luck making these run reliably?  I’m on my second one now.  The first one sat in the box for years.  I got it out last winter, installed a decoder, spent hours lighting it with SMD LEDs, and before the project was completed the motor quit working.  Took the decoder out, re-wired it for DC and yes the motor was dead, wouldn’t turn even connected directly to power.  Walthers told me they had no parts or motors.   I packed it all up in a box and put it on the shelf.

First Scratchbuilding Project - Generic 4 Axle Tender

Hello all! I've been a member here for a while, but haven't posted as I've been out of the hobby for a while. I've decided to return, and here I want to document the progress on my first real scratchbuilding project, which is an S scale 4 axle tender. It's not meant to complement any specific locomotive, as I don't own any locomotives in S scale yet, but the goal is to build something that would look nice behind a medium-sized locomotive, such as a 2-8-0, 2-8-2, 2-10-0, or what-have-you.

1st Steam Locomotive

Just bought a BLI 4-8-2 MT and have experienced an issue with its operation.  I have it running on an oval with 22” radius curves.  While in the curves it stops moving forward.  Sound and power remain and sometimes the 8 wheels spin.  I can give it a nudge and it will move a little.

How should I troubleshoot this issue?
