Weathering Like a Pro series
Purchased the Weathering Like a Pro video series volumes 1 & 2 by Mike Confalone.
This was my first attempt using a UP covered hopper as a guinea pig. Overall not to bad, however I feel that there is room for improvement.
All I can say is the video series is amazing and worth many times more than what it costs. If you haven't already bought the videos I highly recommend them...

NEW TO N SCALE: Coupler question
I received some N scale box cars for my birthday. Micro-Trains and Atlas brands. They have the couplers that look like prototypes.
Do I have to plan for including uncouplers in my layout, or can I use the "Hand of God" method for uncoupling these cars?
Looking for Detail Associates LT1012 headlight part
Am converting an HO Bachmann RS-3 to a Mopac GP-12 (MP re-engined the Alco with an EMD engine out of an E-8). Have everything I need to do the changes but need Details Associates LT1012. If anyone has a package that’s surplus can you contact me? Thanks

Decoder install in old diesels?
I've got a couple dozen new old diesels (that is, new in box from early '90s), primarily Kato. I have never installed a decoder, so today I spent several hours online looking for information about hardwiring decoders into diesels before the era of light boards. Found nothing that specific.

Essential features in a steam locomotive cab?
I am working on outfitting a steam locomotive cab interior, what detail parts do I need?
What is essential to the operation of a locomotive?
The locomotive in question is a freelanced, coal fired 0-6-0 w/ tender built in about 1910, last modernized in the 1950's.
I know I need gauges, valves, and other "things" but I would like to have a better idea understanding the required hardware.

TCS Decoder Programming for Lights
I now have several locos equipped with newer production TCS decoders - without sound. I want the rear light to be OFF when going in reverse in a consist, or if it's easier to program just set the rear light to be off period.
I have been searching around and haven't found an answer that has worked.
What values do I put in what CVs to keep the rear lights off when the loco is going in reverse? If I can re-map the function to something that lets me keep the rear light off that's fine too.
