The trainset missile launching car....in real life

Is this the prototype copying the toy maker?  Back in the bad old days of the Cold War there was a proposal to put the MX missile, an ICBM onto rail cars and run them around the country so that they would be hard (impossible?) for the Soviets to target.  Well the idea actually got some traction and they started the program.

One car was built and today it is at the National Museum of the Air Force located at Wright Patterson Air Force Base near Dayton, Ohio.

For the super-modern N scale modeler - Tier IV GEVo ET44 locomotives

So,  ScaleTrains.com has announced that they will be releasing N scale ET44 locomotives in their Rivet Counter line,  which means road-number specific details complete with Loksound "Full Throttle" sound or a Next18 connector.

WHERE CAN I FIND NORFOLK & WESTERN DIESELS?

I am going to build a freelance N scale layout that will represent the Norfolk & Western operations in North Carolina and Virginia in the mid-late 1950's.

I am finding it difficult to find N scale Norfolk & Western diesels (DCC ready) for that period, such as RS-3, RS-11 and GP9, among others.  Can anyone tell me where I can find them?

Will I have to decorate loco's myself?

Thanks.

Southeast Coal (SECX) Scale test car

Looking for any information on this car. The car is a scale test car owned by Southeast Coal company that operating between Hazard, KY and Irvine, KY. I think it is a 10,000 tank car, but the dome looks larger then normal. I'm looking to model this car in HO scale so what manufacture would have a close match. Thanks for any help.

3D athearn car interior on Thingiverse

I have been designing and selling 3D models in various scales on Shapeways for a while.  Is more a Hobby than a business, and I enjoy it.  Recently, however, I bought a home 3D printer kit for $168 from China- an Anet A8.  It's made with the cheapest parts available, and I've had to spend about $40 in repairs and up grades, and for the first two weeks all I did was print parts to make the printer better.

There are certain models that are as good on the PLA printer, and a lot cheaper than the Shapeways alternative.

Kadee roofwalk

I am trying to install a Kadee roofwalk on an Athearn car. I am having no luck getting a glue to work. Ideas???

Problem assembling a resin kit

A friend has asked me to build a couple of Westerfield covered hoppers for him. I am trying to use CA as the instructions recommend but the glue is not holding the parts together. I thought there may be some mold release on the parts and they need to be cleaned. However, some of the parts are very small and I am afraid of breaking them or loosing them if I try to wash them.

Any words of wisdom on gluing the kits or washing them would be appreciated.

Lil Miner Ho Scale Locomotive

Hello everyone,

Shell & frame situation.

I suppose it's been about a year now, since I purchased my Athearn "TM" on ebay. Which also happens to be another story in it self. Anyway...here's the issue I have.

Somewhere along the line, someone CA'ed the shell to the frame. Anyone have a solution to solving this problem, Short of destroying the shell with a Dremel. I know normally nail polish remover will normally dissolve the CA, but that's usually fresh CA. I'm not sure about CA that has long since cured.
