Track and electrical/DCC

Best of both worlds, an idea for a touch screen + knob on a throttle
In several instances we as a group seem to have split ourselves into two throttle factions - the ones who want to use (or at least tolerate) a touch screen device such as a smart phone, and the ones who insist on physical controls. There seems to be little common ground, and I don't think it needs to be that way. There has to be a way to satisfy both factions, and to have the best features of both styles.

Advice on wiring a fiddle yard for reversing
Please may I ask for members expert advice on how I should wire my proposed fiddle yard correctly for DCC?
This will be my first DCC layout. I have read and understand the principles and have seen and used DCC in operation, but this fiddle yard will involve reversing direction. My plan for the non-scenic fiddle yard is below. I think I will need an auto reverse circuit and a power boost, but I am not really sure.
power cab
I am thinking of replacing my old Lenz set 02/4. I am looking at the nce power cab. This is a small/medium sized N scale layout. One operater. It looks like the power cab has many more features and is easier to use. I can get what seems to be a good price from my LHS(caboose in Denver). Any thoughts on this?

Transistor for LED constant current - can't find the web site
I know it's been posted here recently, but I can't find it with a bit of searching. I'm looking for a web site which describes using a small transistor with one leg cut off (the base, I believe) as a constant current device for protecting an LED. The page I saw showed photos of the LED and transistor connected to a 9V battery.

Would like ideas on how to construct an O Scale Traction/Trolley Line Turnout
Because I need to use Code 125 Rail for certain pieces of equipment, the only option to have "girder rail" for O Scale is to use Code 125 Rail and adding code 100 rail perpendicular to the code 125 Rail. This leaves for some interesting work to building traction line turnouts. I want to have only the single rail point (versus the traditional two rail points).
been a while since I played with DCC, need to make sure I'm doing it right...
Hi everyone-
I've been working on a basement sized layout for the past zillion years. See attached jpgs. The basement is roughly 40 x 25, so the layout takes up roughly 700s.f. It's been a long while since I played with DCC, so I'm re-reading books and visiting the Digitrax website to refresh my memory. I'd love for some feedback on what I'm doing.
