Atlas S2 Locsound problem

I was attempting to change the volume of the motor and now the front headlight doesn't work.  First the headlight was flashing then I tried setting the CV259 back to the 128 factory setting and now the light does not come on.

I think I missed some steps, anyone have any suggestions.

Tam Valley Booster

Does anybody have experience expanding NCE's Powercab with the Tam Valley boosters?  I know you run a command station bus from the Powercab that you connect the boosters to but can you use that bus to control a section of track that will only see one to two locos?

Trick to twisting wire

I have decided to twist my buss lines. Is there an efficient way to twist them in advance or do you twist them as you go along.? I am not trying to reopen the twist vs no twist debate.

Connecting up to bus wire

Greetings one and all. With the upcoming dismanteling and moving of the C&E, it gives me an opportunity to do some underneath wiring before I reassemble it in its new home.. My question is how do most of you connect your feeder wires to your bus wire? Do you use suitcase connectors? Or solder directly to the bus? Or some other method? And if you solder right to the bus, what is the easiest way to strip out a small section of insulation where you are going to solder.

Fast track switches, wood ties or Central Valley ties?

I gonna wear you all out on questions ha ha. Ok so I'm convinced on using fast tracks turnouts and I've looked into using Central Valley ties like a few of you suggested, but I just don't know weather to use Central Valley ties or the quick sticks from fast tracks. I don't wanna do proto 87 necessarily but I did notice that Central Valley has tie plates and fast tracks dosent. What are your suggestions between the two?

JMRI and Windows 10

JMRI and Windows 10?  Does they play well together?

I've been trying to load JMRI (including Decoder pro) on a computer with windows 10 and get it to operate. So far, I've got it to load but, when I double click on it, it tries to start and then it quits. Anyone been successful with JMRI and windows 10? Also, was there any additional things that need to be done to get it to work? Thanks,

Turnouts and Arc Faults

The house we have bought is rated at 50 amp service and is getting updated as soon as I get all the price quotes back to a 200 amp service. At the same time all of the wiring is being update along with the hardware.

It turns out that something called arc fault detection will be included into most rooms including the bedroom designated as the train room. I have no issues with safety. For those who don't know about this, if a spark is detected by the circuit the fuse is blown, shutting down everything on that circuit.
