I thought I might try posting a bit here about the Railroad I am currently slowly working on.

Where are your model people buying the gas for all the cars on your layout?

Do you like to get a really fine model of an authentic US-prototype gasstation?

I've been laying track in one of the 10-track staging yards that are fed by the two spline helices that were built.  The picture below shows Staging Yard A on the right side of the peninsula. 

This is my first post to my first blog so if I screw something up #1, I'm sorry and #2 give me a head's up and I will try not to do it again.

Work continued on the intermodal terminal.

The asphalt unloading zone is completed and it only needs a little dirt around the edge where it meets the scenery.

Being something of a masochist, I take perverse pleasure in making life hard for myself.  Rather than buy new DCC fitted Locos, I figured I should get 2nd hand DC Locos and fit decoders myself.  I started out installing basic 2 function decoders into various 2nd hand DC Locos.  Yep no real problems and even managed some with headlights.
