Single Stall Engine House Part 8

Well I'm still awaiting more roofing material to finish the main roof off. So for now I've mounted hinges on the doors and put them in place as you'll see in the following images.

I decided to use after market hinges as the ones in the kit are peel and stick and I wanted something a little more realistic with a working hinge. So I came across campbell scale models strap hinges and ordered a them.

What do you want to see from Cleveland?

Okay, so I'll be arriving in Cleveland late Sunday, and I expect to be able to start attending the convention on Monday. What would you like to see from the Convention? I'm going to have big memory chips and lots of batteries for my camera. Might even take the GoPro for a walk a few times....

Taking some time for Railfanning

http://joshuadewolfe.wordpress.com/2014/07/05/taking-the-time-for-sightseeing/

If you are ever in the area, I would recommend checking out Point of Rocks, Md. I have seen many a model of it, and have often drove by, but finally, on a trip today, took some time to visit with my family. Enjoy the pictures!

Thoughts on The Fleet

In preparing for the next operating night, I often think about the makeup of the car fleet and the compromises I make to get the layout running.

Railfanning

Getting ready to leave Sunday for a tour of tourist railroads in the Northeast. Road Scholar (formerly ElderHostel) is starting in Hartford and is providing arrangements for transportation; accommodations; and a week long rail event. We'll be returning in late July after combining a mini vacation with the tour. Pictures to be posted later.

BTW, I'm "mapping out" a sequence of photos and written dialog for the train detection article to be finished by the beginning of August. We'll keep you posted.

Have a great and safe summer!
