Road Salt Facility

Hello,

Does anyone know of a kit similar to this road salt building:

My original plan is to model the facility on the left with a Pikestuff Quonset Hut building:

A Bona Vista Boxcar

Bona Vista Boxcar

To All: Gary Leone is a well known model railroader. He recently dismantled his layout and in now building a new one. I painted, lettered, weathered and dull coated this Athearn 40 foot boxcar for Gary's Bona Vista RR. Herald art work was drawn by me (I wish I had made it larger). Yours, Elvin Howland/E. Bullet Proof Track

The reason we don't allow beer at the Keystone Model Railroad Club. . . . .LOL!

Kansas Pacific Boxcar

To All: One of the neatest freelanced lines I have done is Anthony Lorch's Kansas Pacific RR. I painted, lettered, weathered and dull coated this 40 foot Athearn car. Decals are available from Highball Graphics. Yours, Elvin Howland/E. St. Louis Rail Group Layout

Changes at Cranberry

Something has been bothering me about the Cranberry Portage siding and interchange track.  My original trackplan had a crossover switch about 1/2 way down the siding, with the idea that if a passenger train was there a second train could still access the siding.  However in reality my standard sized passenger train (2 FP9A, 1 SGU, baggage car, 2 coaches and 2 sleepers) was too long to fit in the siding and leave the cross over unblocked.

Updates on the Estrella & Sonora Grande

It's been a long time since I posted here, and a long time since I have had any time for the hobby. Anyway, here is an update on recent events on the Estrella & Sonora Grande.

There's a lot of activity in the village of San Lorenzo as 0-4-0T #3, the Rattler, works its way up the branch line to Soledad with loads of coke destined for the boilers at the ore concentrator.

New Layout Board Construction

Begrudgingly I've decided to scrap plans for my 2" X 8" freestanding streetcar layout in favor of a smaller streetcar shelf layout housed in the closet. I've learned a lot in two years and from experience I was able to build something better and more practical.
