Hello Everyone-

Hello again everyone. This is the second part to the "Realistic Summer Trees" blog. I realized that there were some supplemental pieces of information that were greatly needed in order to fully support the trees in the surrounding scenery. 

This blog is about my HO scale model railroad based on the area around the Cuyahoga River in downtown Cleveland, Ohio, circa late 1940's to early 1950's. I chose this era because the Cleveland Union Terminal (known as Terminal Tower today) was at the height of its operation as a union passenger station.

Engine Repair and Main​tenance facilities have always fascinated me, therefore I had to have one on my layout.

Got your attention quickly, didn't I? Well, ever since I posted this picture on the forums, people have asked for a build log - and after much stalling, a few failed attempts at writing, and the photo appearing in this month's "Yes it's a Model" section, I've finally mustered up the steam to do this. 

After a long drive home from the St Louis RPM Meet and having a lot of time to think about my current layout, some changes are a coming. The original plan was ok but their were some things giving me some problems.

At the beginning of the month I did a road trip to St Louis, MO to attend the 2015 RPM meet in Collinsville, I had a great time catching up with old friends and meeting some new ones. When I arrived at the meet Friday morning I thought I got there early, about 9:15 in morning. There was a line, but being that the door had just opened was not unexpected. What I did not expect was walking into the room and most of the tables were filled up and the floor was full of people. This was my second time at this event and it did not let me down.

I have been making some videos (sorry, they are in Portuguese) about building the New River Mining company in N Scale.

I gatthered the two Hobbys (Model Railroading and Content creation and multimedia (and everything computer related)) I have into three videos.

There are four areas on the Milan branch where I want to incorporate ambient or triggered sound: 

1. random flange squeal on all three of the layout’s curves

To All: Today I present a Bourk-Donaldson-Taylor refrigerator car. This company transported fruits and vegetables all over the country from Colorado. I took this photo on Dennis Larson's San Juan Northern RR HO/HOn3 layout recently. An unusual color scheme to say the least! Does any one out there know who made this car? Yours, Elvin Howland/E.
